Carter Notch Hut is one of three back-country huts that are open year round and offer self service accommodations. Access to the hut is a quick and gradual hike from Pinkham Notch and can be reached in a few hours following 19-Mile Brook Trail. With out packs loaded Kristen and I hiked up to the hut for the night all while soaking in the 70 degree October weather.
