  • About Me

  • My name is Tim. If there is one thing I've learned, it's that I dislike writing about myself. Because of that, you can find me behind the camera, hiking through the woods, reading, meditating and feeding my curiosity by studying a whole host of other subjects. Thanks for stopping by.

The Tripyramid Loop

Posted On September 10, 2017

The Tripyramid loop consists of two 4,000 ft peaks, Middle Tripyramid and North Tripyramid. It can be tackled from a number of different trail-heads but the most common starting point is the Sabbaday Trail (where I started) or Pine Bend Brook Trail.  It was an 11 mile trip which includes a 1 mile road walk back to the parking lot and it took me 5:15 hr.  To be honest this was my least favorite hike thus far.   There was a lot of mud, wet rocks, and meandering trails that seemed to go on forever.  The summit of Middle had the only real view and that was of Waterville Valley Skit Resort (Mt. Tecumseh).  The summit of north peak was a pile of rocks surrounded by a mud hole with no view.  I realize not every hike has grand vistas with exposed ridge walking but everything about this hike felt like a slog.
