I’ve hiked Tumbledown Mountain numerous times and it is always worth it. The views are great, sunsets are spectacular, and the pond at the top makes for a nice place to take an evening swim. From Brook Trailhead the ascent is a short 1.9 mile moderate hike that leads straight toward Tumbledown pond, its the quickest way up the mountain. For a little extra mileage there is a loop trail the totals about 5 or so miles and includes a 1 mile road walk. The summit can be a very busy place mid summer. If you want the place to yourself I would recommend going on a weekday, its a little less traveled and the camping spots are plenty.

About Me

My name is Tim. If there is one thing I've learned, it's that I dislike writing about myself. Because of that, you can find me behind the camera, hiking through the woods, reading, meditating and feeding my curiosity by studying a whole host of other subjects. Thanks for stopping by.
